Reading documents on the Cybook epaper in sunlight is a piece of cake. The Cybook epaper has 32 MB of RAM and has a default storage capacity of 1 GB.

One can store even more using external devices like memory cards that can be connected to this reader via its micro SD slot. The beauty of the Cybook epaper comes to the fore when one changes the orientation from portrait to landscape. The G-sensor in this gadget detects motion and changes the orientation of the text accordingly. If your favorite book is too wide for the portrait screen, just turn the Cybook epaper by 90 degrees and viola! You’ll be presented with a landscape view of the same. The Cybook epaper can read various formats like TXT, HTML, GIF, JPG, PNG, etc.

The life of the Cybook epaper’s lithium polymer battery is 2 weeks in standby mode. One full charge is sufficient for 8,000 page flips (the number of pages that you can read). Thanks to its high quality matte display, along with the high power contract that the screen of the Cybook epaper possesses, it is a simple task to read text on the same under different types of light conditions including under direct sunlight. Even while viewing from different angles, the text displayed on the Cybook epaper hardly shows any flicker effect. While viewing text on the Cybook epaper, it feels as if one is reading a normal printed paper.
